Dr. Sarah Wiethoff

I graduated from Tübingen and Maribor Universities in 2010 with a doctoral thesis investigating cerebral processing of emotional prosody. Neurology always fascinated me, so I started neurology residency in Tübingen with a strong research interest and focus on rare hereditary neurodegenerative disorders. I was appointed Brain Research Trust PhD Fellow at the Institute of Neurology from 2012 until 2016 where I finished my PhD on genetic and functional studies in hereditary movement disorders with a special interest in ataxias and episodic disorders in 2016. I continue training as a postdoc in the lab and am currently finishing my clinical training as neurologist at the university hospital Tübingen.
