Dr. Lucia Schottlaender

PhD Student

I have studied medicine and trained in Neurology in Argentina. I then moved to London to pursue a PhD in molecular neuroscience. Investigating the genetic architecture of a disease and the translation of this knowledge into patient’s care are my main goals. I have a special interest in disorders of the central nervous system (multiple system atrophy, familial brain calcification) and genetically inherited neuromuscular disorders (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, spastic paraplegias, charcot marie tooth, duchenne muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy).
